As grain comes out of the field, it is hauled to a site where it is weighed and
checked for moisture, test weight and foreign material. Hauling grain is as simple as
loading it, and our commercial drivers and dump and hopper bottom trailers can transport your harvest one mile or 100 miles. Haldeman Farms can also purchase or store your
corn, soybeans or wheat. The commodity is accurately weighed on our 70 ft. certified
truck scale, which is open to the public 24 hours a day for a $5.00 weigh fee. A pint-sized sample is pulled and the moisture is tested because grain is often harvested at a moisture level higher than that which allows for safe storage. Continuous flow and batch dryers
allow us to accommodate the large volume of grain that comes in at harvest.
We pay competitive prices on a daily basis for spot grain delivery. We can also provide
you with a forward contract on unharvested grain, or we can store your grain for a
monthly fee and buy it when the market reaches your predetermined trigger price.
